Summary

Hot fix 3 for NetSupport DNA 2.10 is now available, this hotfix resolves the following known issues with NetSupport DNA 2.10

• Fix for an issue where incomplete software inventory was displayed after the client machine had automatically adjusted time for daylight savings.
• Fixed a problem with the NetSupport DNA Server service that caused the server to no longer respond to requests from a console or Client.
• Fixed a problem with the DNA Client that could cause a new DNA Client to overwrite an existing Client in the DNA Hierarchy.

Details

This Update for NetSupport DNA can be applied by using the "Check for Updates" function from any NetSupport DNA Console attached to your DNA Server. If you are unable to use the "Check for Updates" function the update can be installed manually (see Manual Installation procedure at the end of this document).

To Apply this update:

1. Run a NetSupport DNA Console.
2. From the Help menu select "Check for Updates"
3. Apply the Daylight Time savings Update.

Once this update is applied by one console the server and clients will be automatically updated.

If the Check for updates is not available please follow the procedure below to update you DNA installation.

Manual Installation procedure

1. Download either the SmartUpdateEN.zip (English) or SmartUpdateDE.zip (German).
2. Extract the SmartUpdate.dll and SmartUpdateS.dll Files from the downloaded zip file to a temporary folder.
3. Stop the NetSupport DNA Server Service
4. Copy the SmartUpdate.dll and SmartUpdateS.dll file from your temporary folder to the DNA Servers Components folder (default: Program files\NetSupport DNA\DNA\Server\Components)
5. Start the DNA Server Service
6. Each time a DNA Client connects it will download the new SmartUpdate.dll and update its self to the latest version.
